Baikal Sturgeon Sushi

Ingredients

  • 300g Baikal sturgeon fillet
  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 4 nori seaweed sheets
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, julienned
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Wasabi, for serving
  • Soy sauce, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sushi rice according to package instructions.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved. Drizzle the mixture over the cooked sushi rice and gently fold to combine.
  3. Place a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
  4. Arrange the sturgeon, avocado, and cucumber in the center of the rice.
  5. Roll the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat, sealing the edge with a bit of water.
  6. Cut the sushi roll into 8 pieces using a sharp knife.
  7. Serve the Baikal sturgeon sushi with wasabi and soy sauce on the side.
