Ingredients
- 1 lb salted cod, soaked and flaked
- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flaked salted cod, flour, onion, garlic, parsley, scallions, baking powder, black pepper, and hot pepper sauce.
- Add water gradually to form a thick batter.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Spoon the batter into the hot oil, forming small cakes, and fry until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove the saltfish cakes from the oil and drain on paper towels.
