Ingredients

  • 4 cups stale bread, cubed
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped chives
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the bread, cheese, eggs, milk, chives, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 8 dumplings and roll them in flour.
  4. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Brown the dumplings on all sides, then transfer them to a baking dish.
  5. Bake the dumplings for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
