Baked Chicken with Herbs (Fırında Tavuk)
Fırında Tavuk, or Baked Chicken with Herbs, is a classic dish in Crimean Tatar cuisine. This flavorful and aromatic dish is perfect for a family dinner or a special occasion.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lemon, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, thyme, rosemary, and minced garlic.
- Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish and rub the herb mixture all over the chicken.
- Place the lemon slices on top of the chicken.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
