Baked Trout with Herbs (Trofta e Furrë me Erbëra)

Ingredients

  • 4 whole trout, cleaned and gutted
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the trout on a baking sheet and stuff the cavity of each fish with lemon slices and minced garlic.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the chopped parsley, dill, and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Brush the herb mixture over the trout, covering both the inside and outside of the fish.
  5. Bake the trout in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
