Ingredients
- 1 cup black glutinous rice
- 4 cups water
- 1 pandan leaf, tied in a knot
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 cup palm sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Rinse the black glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pot, combine the rinsed rice, water, and pandan leaf. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the coconut milk, palm sugar, and salt to the pot. Continue to simmer for another 15 minutes, stirring frequently, until the porridge thickens.
- Remove the pandan leaf and discard.
- Divide the porridge into serving bowls and serve warm.
