Ingredients
- 1 lb pork loin, cut into thin strips
- 1/4 cup kecap manis (sweet soy sauce)
- 2 shallots, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together kecap manis, shallots, garlic, coriander, cumin, turmeric, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Add the pork strips to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Thread the marinated pork strips onto skewers.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the pork satay for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- Serve the Balinese Spicy Pork Satay with sambal plecing sauce and steamed rice.
