Ingredients
- 4 cups cooked white rice
- 8 small banana leaves, cut into 8x8 inch squares
- 1 cup shredded chicken
- 1 cup fried tempeh
- 1 cup sambal matah (Balinese chili relish)
- 4 hard-boiled eggs, halved
- 4 tablespoons fried shallots
- 4 tablespoons crispy fried anchovies
Instructions
- Place a portion of rice in the center of each banana leaf square.
- Top the rice with shredded chicken, fried tempeh, sambal matah, and a halved hard-boiled egg.
- Sprinkle with fried shallots and crispy fried anchovies.
- Wrap the banana leaves to form a neat package.
- Steam the wrapped rice for 10 minutes.
- Unwrap and serve hot.
