Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 5 shallots, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 5 red chili peppers, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 2 tbsp tamarind paste
- 1 tsp palm sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the shallots, garlic, and red chili peppers. Sauté until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink.
- Add the tomatoes, tamarind paste, palm sugar, and salt. Stir well to combine.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
