Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu, sliced
- 4 shallots, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 red chilies, sliced
- 1 teaspoon shrimp paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 kaffir lime leaves, thinly sliced
- 4 banana leaves, cut into 8x8 inch squares
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the shallots, garlic, red chilies, shrimp paste, turmeric powder, salt, and kaffir lime leaves.
- Place a spoonful of the spice mixture on a banana leaf, then add a slice of tofu on top.
- Wrap the banana leaf to enclose the tofu and secure with toothpicks.
- Steam the wrapped tofu for 30 minutes.
