Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 green chilies, sliced
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add onions and green chilies. Sauté until onions are golden brown.
- Add tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and oil separates.
- Stir in turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
- Add yogurt and cook until the oil separates.
- Add potatoes and mix well. Add water as needed to cover the potatoes. Cover and cook until the potatoes are tender.
- Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh cilantro.
