Balochi Bharwan Tamatar (balochi Style Stuffed Tomatoes)

Ingredients

  • 4 large tomatoes
  • 1 cup minced meat
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash the tomatoes and cut off the tops. Scoop out the pulp and seeds from the center to create a hollow cavity.
  2. In a pan, heat the cooking oil and sauté the chopped onion until golden brown.
  3. Add the minced meat, ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, and all the spices. Cook until the meat is fully cooked and the mixture is dry.
  4. Stuff the hollowed tomatoes with the cooked meat mixture.
  5. Heat a little oil in a pan and place the stuffed tomatoes carefully. Cover and cook on low heat until the tomatoes are tender.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
