Balochi Gosht Handi is a traditional Balochi dish featuring tender beef cooked in a rich and flavorful gravy. This recipe combines aromatic spices with succulent meat, creating a dish that is sure to impress your family and friends.
Ingredients
- 500g beef, cut into cubes
- 2 onions, finely sliced
- 3 tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a handi or deep cooking pot.
- Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
- Add beef cubes and cook until they are browned.
- Now add chopped tomatoes, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and oil separates from the masala.
- Whisk yogurt and add it to the pot. Cook for a few minutes until the oil separates again.
- Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with naan or rice.
