Ingredients
- 1 kg lamb, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 cups water
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large pot and sauté the onions until golden brown.
- Add the ginger and garlic paste, and cook for 2 minutes.
- Now add the lamb pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- Stir in the tomato puree, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt.
- Pour in the water, cover the pot, and let the curry simmer for 1 hour or until the lamb is tender.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
