Balochi Gosht Karahi (balochi Style Mutton Karahi)

Ingredients

  • 1 kg mutton, cut into pieces
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a karahi or deep pan. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger garlic paste and mutton pieces. Cook until the mutton changes color.
  3. Stir in chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  4. Whisk yogurt and garam masala together, then add to the mutton. Cook on low heat until the mutton is tender and the oil separates.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
