Ingredients

  • 500g fish fillets
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the fish fillets with yogurt, turmeric, and salt. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
  5. Add red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Gently place the marinated fish fillets into the curry, cover, and cook for 10-15 minutes until the fish is tender.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or naan.
