Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 3 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a karahi or deep cooking pan.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger and garlic paste, and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until they change color.
- Add chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and oil separates.
- Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with naan or rice.
