Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken, cut into tikka pieces
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 3 tbsp oil
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1/2 cup cashew nuts, soaked and ground to a paste
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Add the chicken tikka pieces and marinate for 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
- Add the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
- Stir in the cashew nut paste and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the marinated chicken tikka pieces and cook until the chicken is tender.
- Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
