Balochi Murgh Tikka Masala (balochi Style Chicken Tikka Masala)

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into tikka pieces
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/2 cup cashew nuts, soaked and ground to a paste
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Add the chicken tikka pieces and marinate for 1 hour.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
  3. Add the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
  4. Stir in the cashew nut paste and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the marinated chicken tikka pieces and cook until the chicken is tender.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
