Ingredients

  • 500g Baltic herring fillets
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Remove any bones from the herring fillets and chop them into small pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix the chopped herring, onion, and hard-boiled eggs.
  3. Add the mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice to the bowl and mix until well combined.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a food processor and blend until smooth.
  6. Refrigerate the pâté for at least 1 hour before serving.
