Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs (700g) lamb, cut into cubes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, paprika, cumin, coriander, vegetable oil, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the lamb cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated lamb cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  6. Serve the Bangui Bangui hot with a side of spicy peanut sauce and grilled plantains.
