Bao Zai Fan (clay Pot Rice)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 lb Chinese sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Rinse the jasmine rice and drain. Place it in the clay pot and add water.
  2. Layer the Chinese sausage, shiitake mushrooms, and green onions on top of the rice.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and sugar. Pour the sauce over the ingredients in the clay pot.
  4. Cover the clay pot and cook over medium heat for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the bottom is crispy.
  5. Once done, mix the ingredients together and serve hot.
