Ingredients

  • 500g beef, cubed
  • 4 potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides.
  2. Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in the paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and add the bay leaves. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour.
  5. Add the potatoes and carrots to the pot and continue to simmer for another 30-40 minutes, or until the beef and vegetables are tender.
  6. Stir in the chopped parsley and dill. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  7. Remove the bay leaves before serving.
