Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, pepper, and parsley. Shape the mixture into meatballs.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides, then remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the crushed tomatoes, beef broth, sugar, and paprika. Stir to combine, then return the meatballs to the skillet.
  4. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
