Ingredients
- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 2 cups tomato sauce
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully remove the outer leaves of the cabbage, then blanch them in the boiling water for 2-3 minutes until they are pliable. Remove and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, rice, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Place a spoonful of the meat mixture onto each cabbage leaf and roll them up, tucking in the sides as you go.
- Place the cabbage rolls in a large pot and pour the tomato sauce over them. Cover and simmer for 1 hour, or until the cabbage is tender and the filling is cooked through.
