Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the whole milk, heavy cream, and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
  2. Add the crushed pistachios, saffron threads, and ground cardamom to the milk mixture. Stir well to combine.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
  4. Pour the cooled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until the ice cream is thick and creamy.
  5. Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
