Ingredients
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup crushed pistachios
- 1/4 teaspoon saffron threads
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the whole milk, heavy cream, and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
- Add the crushed pistachios, saffron threads, and ground cardamom to the milk mixture. Stir well to combine.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
- Pour the cooled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until the ice cream is thick and creamy.
- Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
