Bavarian Cherry Cheesecake (Bayrischer Kirsch-Käsekuchen)

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 24 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, 1/3 cup sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and flour. Pour the filling over the crust.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until the center is set. Allow the cheesecake to cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
- Before serving, spread the cherry pie filling over the top of the cheesecake.
