Ingredients

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the sour cream and vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the wet ingredients until just blended.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and arrange the plum halves, skin side up, on top of the batter.
- Sprinkle the plums with 2 tablespoons of sugar.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan on a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
