Beaufort Steamed Prawns

Ingredients

  • 500g fresh prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, julienned
  • 2 red chilies, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped spring onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a steaming pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic, ginger, and sliced chilies. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and water. Stir well to combine.
  4. Place the prawns in a single layer in the steaming pot.
  5. Cover and steam for 5-7 minutes until the prawns are cooked through.
  6. Once cooked, remove from heat and transfer the prawns to a serving dish.
  7. Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot.
