Bebek Jamur (braised Duck With Mushrooms)

Ingredients
- 1 whole duck, cut into pieces
- 200g shiitake mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 4 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the duck pieces with salt and pepper.
- Heat a large pot over medium heat and sear the duck pieces until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté the garlic and onion until fragrant.
- Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their juices.
- Pour in the oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil. Stir well.
- Return the duck pieces to the pot and pour in the chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 hours, or until the duck is tender.
- Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve the Bebek Jamur hot with steamed rice.
