Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs beef chuck, cut into cubes
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced

- 2 green onions, chopped
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook until fragrant.
- Add the beef cubes and brown on all sides.
- Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir to coat the beef.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1.5 hours.
- Add the potatoes to the pot and continue to simmer for another 30 minutes, or until the beef and potatoes are tender.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
