Beef and Vegetable Stir-Fry (Sauté de bœuf et légumes)
Sauté de bœuf et légumes, also known as Beef and Vegetable Stir-Fry, is a popular dish in Congolese cuisine. This flavorful and colorful stir-fry is a perfect balance of tender beef and fresh vegetables, seasoned with aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 bell peppers, sliced
- 2 carrots, julienned
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add the beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Heat the remaining oil in the same skillet. Add the onion, bell peppers, and carrots. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Add the garlic, soy sauce, ginger, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes.
- Return the beef to the skillet and toss everything together for 1-2 minutes until heated through.
- Remove from heat and serve the sauté de bœuf et légumes hot.
