Beef Chilly Fry Tacos
Beef Chilly Fry Tacos are a delicious fusion of Goan Catholic and Mexican cuisines, combining the spicy and tangy flavors of Goan beef chilly fry with the convenience and portability of tacos.
Ingredients
- 500g beef, thinly sliced
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3-4 green chilies, sliced
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- 8 small flour tortillas
- Shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sour cream for serving
Instructions
- Marinate the beef with ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, vinegar, and salt. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions and green chilies until the onions are translucent.
- Add the marinated beef and cook until the beef is tender and the masala is dry.
- Warm the flour tortillas in a separate pan or in the microwave.
- Assemble the tacos by placing the beef chilly fry on the tortillas and topping with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream.
