Ingredients
- 2 lbs beef chuck, cut into cubes
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 red bell peppers, diced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the beef cubes and brown them on all sides. Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.
- Add the chopped onions to the pot and sauté until they are soft and translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Return the browned beef to the pot. Add the diced red bell peppers, tomato paste, paprika, caraway seeds, and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and let the goulash simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
- Adjust the seasoning if needed and serve the beef goulash hot, accompanied by your choice of side dishes.
