Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 ounces egg noodles, cooked according to package instructions
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil in the same skillet. Add the onion and mushrooms, and cook until softened.
- Add the garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional minute.
- Sprinkle the flour over the onion and mushroom mixture, and stir to combine.
- Pour in the beef broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Return the beef to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the sour cream and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles.
