Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the beef slices with salt and pepper, then coat them in flour.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the beef and cook until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and mushrooms. Cook until the vegetables are soft.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the sour cream and Dijon mustard.
- Return the beef to the skillet and let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve the Bef Stroganov over cooked egg noodles or rice, and garnish with chopped parsley.
