Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs (700g) lamb leg, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 12 bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, garlic, Chinese five-spice powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, and vegetable oil.
- Add the lamb cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated lamb cubes onto the soaked bamboo skewers.
- Grill the lamb skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and sprinkle with chopped green onions and cilantro before serving.
