Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef brisket, thinly sliced

  • 1 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
  • 1 tsp sugar

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring the beef broth to a boil.
  2. Add the beef brisket, ginger, and garlic to the pot. Reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 hours until the beef is tender.
  3. Remove the beef from the pot and set aside. Strain the broth and return it to the pot.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, Chinese five-spice powder, sugar, and white pepper. Bring the broth back to a simmer.
