Ingredients
- 12 chicken wings
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 3 slices ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and sugar. Add the chicken wings and marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Add the ginger, garlic, green onions, star anise, and cinnamon stick. Stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add the marinated chicken wings and sear until browned.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the chicken is tender.
- Uncover the wok, increase the heat, and cook until the sauce thickens.
