Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- In another small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in water. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add shrimp and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the wok and set aside.
- Using the same wok, add more oil if needed. Stir in minced garlic and green onions, and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Return the shrimp to the wok, pour in the soy sauce mixture, and stir to coat the shrimp evenly. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Stir the cornstarch mixture again and pour it into the wok. Stir constantly until the sauce thickens.
- Transfer the shrimp to a serving plate and serve hot.
