Ingredients
- 4 beef ribs
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 bottles of Belgian beer
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Season the beef ribs with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
- Sear the beef ribs on all sides until browned, then remove from the pot and set aside.
- Add the onions, carrots, and celery to the pot and cook until softened.
- Add the garlic and flour, and cook for another minute.
- Pour in the Belgian beer and beef broth, then return the beef ribs to the pot.
- Cover the pot and transfer to the preheated oven.
- Braise the beef ribs for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender.
- Remove the pot from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
