Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Stir in the salt, sesame seeds, and flour until well combined.
  5. Drop teaspoonfuls of the batter onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let the wafers cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
