Bering Sea Barbecue Ribs are a delicious and hearty dish inspired by the cuisine of Commander Islands. These ribs are slow-cooked to perfection and basted with a tangy barbecue sauce, resulting in tender and flavorful meat that falls off the bone.
Ingredients
- 2 racks of pork ribs
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a bowl, mix the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create the barbecue sauce.
- Place the ribs on a baking sheet and generously brush them with the barbecue sauce, reserving some for basting later.
- Cover the ribs with aluminum foil and bake for 2.5 hours.
- Remove the foil, baste the ribs with the remaining barbecue sauce, and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C).
- Bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the ribs are caramelized and tender.
- Slice the ribs and serve hot.
