Berry Pavlova (Ягодный павлова)
Pavlova is a popular dessert in Belarus, and this recipe adds a delicious twist with the addition of mixed berries.
Ingredients
- 6 egg whites
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 cup mixed berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Gradually add the sugar, vinegar, and cornstarch while continuing to beat the mixture until it becomes glossy.
- Spoon the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming a circle with a slight indentation in the center.
- Bake for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and let the pavlova cool completely inside the oven.
- Once the pavlova is cooled, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the pavlova and top with mixed berries.
