Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1 medium tomato, cut into wedges
- 1 cup chayote squash, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 cup long beans, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 cup corn kernels
- 1 cup cabbage, shredded
- 3-4 pieces of tamarind pulp
- 3 tablespoons palm sugar
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a pot, bring water to a boil.
- Add the tomato, chayote squash, long beans, and corn. Cook for 10 minutes.
- Add the cabbage, tamarind pulp, palm sugar, and salt. Simmer for another 10-15 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Adjust the taste by adding more salt or sugar if needed.
- Serve the soup hot with steamed rice.
