Bheja na Cutlets (भेजा ना कटलेट्स)
Bheja na Cutlets are a popular Parsi dish made with goat brain, potatoes, and spices. These cutlets are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, making them a delicious appetizer or snack.
Ingredients
- 250g goat brain, boiled and mashed
- 2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the mashed goat brain, mashed potatoes, chopped onion, green chilies, turmeric powder, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt.
- Divide the mixture into small portions and shape them into cutlets.
- Dip each cutlet in beaten eggs and then coat with bread crumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the cutlets until they are golden brown on both sides.
- Remove the cutlets from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
