Ingredients

  • 250g okra, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the sliced okra, gram flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, and salt.
  2. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  3. Once the oil is hot, drop spoonfuls of the okra mixture into the oil and fry until golden and crispy.
  4. Remove the pakodas from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  5. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
