Ingredients
- 500g bhindi (okra), washed and dried
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and green chilies. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and oil separates.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the bhindi and mix gently. Cover and cook on low heat until the bhindi is tender.
- Sprinkle garam masala and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot with roti or rice.
