Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 3 green chilies, sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Then, add chicken pieces and cook until they are no longer pink.
  3. Now, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add sliced bell peppers, chopped tomatoes, and green chilies. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Sprinkle garam masala and mix everything together. Cook for a few more minutes until the chicken and vegetables are cooked through.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or naan.
