Bihari-style Chicken Kebabs (बिहारी-स्टाइल चिकन कबाब)

Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, mustard oil, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and coat them well. Let it marinate for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers.
  4. Heat a grill pan or stovetop grill over medium heat. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a charred exterior.
  5. Remove the kebabs from the grill and serve hot with mint chutney and onion rings.
