Bihari-style Palak Chicken (बिहारी-स्टाइल पालक चिकन)
This Bihari-style Palak Chicken recipe combines the goodness of spinach with the flavors of tender chicken, creating a wholesome and delicious dish.
Ingredients
- 500g chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 cups spinach (palak), finely chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
- Pour in the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
- Add turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are no longer pink.
- Add the chopped spinach and cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Sprinkle garam masala and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Palak Chicken is ready to be served hot with rice or roti.
